Add Page Numbers to PDF — Position, Start, Format (Browser)
ImageAdd Page Numbers to PDF is a browser-based PDF tool that stamps sequential page numbers, starting from a number you choose, at a chosen position on every page and saves a new PDF.
What is it
Add page numbers when a document for printing or submission has none. Choose one of 6 positions (top/bottom, left/center/right), set the start number, and pick a format ("1", "1 / N", "- 1 -", "Page 1"); numbers are stamped sequentially on every page. In the "1 / N" format, N is the last number (start + page count - 1). Numbers use the built-in Helvetica font, so only numeric and Latin formats are supported, and they are drawn on top of existing content. Files up to 50MB are supported and encrypted PDFs are not.
How to use

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. File selection, numbering, and download creation all run in your browser; the file never leaves your device.
Can numbering start at 5?
Yes. Set the start number to 5 and the first page shows 5, the second 6, and so on — useful for documents with separate cover pages.
Are non-Latin number formats supported?
No. Numbers are stamped with the built-in Helvetica font, so only numeric and Latin formats are supported.
Can existing page numbers be removed first?
No. This tool stamps numbers on top of existing content and cannot erase old numbers. Pick a position that does not overlap them.
