Dutch Pay Calculator — Split Bills with Partial Participants
CalculatorA Dutch pay calculator compares what each person paid with what they owe for each participating item, then builds a settlement table.
What is it
A simple equal split fails when someone joined late, skipped drinks, or shared only certain dishes. This tool lets every item have its own participant list, divides that item only among those people, then compares each person’s paid amount with their owed share. It runs entirely in the browser, so names and amounts are not sent to a server.
How to use
- 1Enter one participant name per line.
- 2Enter items as "payer | amount | participant1, participant2". Leave the participant list blank for everyone.
- 3Press calculate to see per-person shares and the transfer table.

FAQ
Can it handle people who joined late or skipped an item?
Yes. Put only the actual participants in the item’s last field. A blank participant field means the item is shared by everyone.
How is the transfer table minimized?
The calculator computes paid minus owed for every person, then matches people who owe money to people who should receive money in order.
Is Dutch pay input sent to a server?
No. All names and amounts are calculated in the browser and are not sent to a server.
